Hill and Hollow Quilt Show 2013

I'm loving this Disappearing 9-Patch pattern... Just tried it for the first time.  The blocks come out so pretty and rather difficult-looking, when in reality it's super easy!   Here, I've laid out 20 blocks in a sort of darker-then-lighter alternating row pattern, with all of the "darker", cut center blocks going in the same direction -- which draws your eye up the diagonal... I haven't sewn the blocks together yet since I'm still playing around, but you get the idea!A very easy block made with 5" squares that has unlimited fun potential.  :)

Hill and Hollow Quilt Show 2013

Valory and I are very excited to be a part of The Art Odyssey, coming this May!  Mountain Home's Open Studio Tour will have Mockingbird Bay on the map!  Come and support us.  We'll be opening the doors to our home studio for all those who want to see.  We'll explain our wares, which are very varied!  Haha!  From watercolor impressionist quilted wallhangings, to earrings, bracelets and lampwork beads, homemade soap, repurposed paper frames, upcycled cool stuff, and various whatsits!  So put it on your calendar, and plan to come out to Mockingbird -- See you in May!
